File Desk · Last updated 9 June 2026
These terms govern your use of File Desk (“the app”), an Android file manager developed by LiveApp. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
File Desk is licensed to you, not sold. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control. An optional one-time in-app purchase unlocks Premium features.
The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, or that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
File Desk performs powerful operations on your files, including moving, copying, renaming, compressing, extracting, and permanently deleting them. You are solely responsible for your files and for keeping your own backups. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss of, or damage to, data arising from your use of the app.
The Vault encrypts files on your device using a password you choose. This password is never stored or transmitted and cannot be recovered by the developer. If you forget it, the encrypted files cannot be opened by anyone, including us. You are responsible for remembering your password and for keeping a separate backup of important files before adding them to the Vault.
The optional File Server exposes a folder you choose to other devices on your local network — over FTP or a web browser — while it is running. The connection is unencrypted. You are responsible for using this feature only on networks you trust, for choosing appropriate access settings (such as read-only and a password), and for turning the server off when not in use. The developer is not liable for any unauthorized access resulting from how you configure or use it.
The optional File Transfer feature sends files directly to, and receives them from, another nearby device running File Desk. You are responsible for the files you choose to send, for only accepting transfers from devices you trust, and for verifying the matching PIN before accepting. The developer is not liable for files sent to, or received from, another device.
The optional Remote Connections feature connects to servers (FTP, SFTP, WebDAV, SMB) that you configure. You are responsible for the credentials you enter, for connecting only to servers you are authorized to access, and for the security of those servers and networks. Connection details are stored on your device; the developer does not receive them and is not liable for data transferred to or from, or for any issues arising with, remote servers you connect to.
The optional Root browser accesses protected system files on rooted devices. This is a powerful capability that can modify or delete system files and may render a device inoperable if misused. You use it entirely at your own risk, and the developer is not liable for any damage to your device or data resulting from its use.
You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and only with files and devices you are authorized to access. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding the content you store, manage, or share using the app.
Premium is an optional one-time purchase processed by Google Play. All payments, taxes, and refunds are handled by Google under Google Play’s terms; the developer does not process or store payment information.
The app includes open-source components licensed under their respective licenses (for example, Apache License 2.0, the MIT License, and the BSD License). Attribution is available in the app’s “Open-source licenses” screen.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the app.
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions, except where local consumer protection law requires otherwise.
